Council of Canadians on Public Pharmacare
|
The Trudeau government is about to unveil its draft legislation for a national drug plan. But over the past months, Big Pharma and the insurance lobby have stepped up their efforts for a watered-down program that doesn’t lower drug prices and excludes the vast majority of Canadians. We need to let the new Health Minister Mark Holland know that we want pharmacare, and we want it done right: public, universal, comprehensive.

*Breaking News* Scam Alert
Heads up! Posted Feb 12/22
Yesterday a call was received from a Roger's bank representative telling the person their card was fraudulently used in Texas to purchase an iPhone and they wanted the card number to cancel the transaction and send a new card.
The call came from a phone number for Rogers bank customer service. After I told them I was suspicious and that I didn't have my card with me, they hung up. (True, you may not be a Roger's customer so will then know it is a scam, but the following is important to remember if the call IS from a service you use.)
Scammers are now able to display the customer service phone number for outbound calls to try and fool you!
NOTE: Best way to ensure there isn't a scam is to tell the person you will contact your card holder or supplier. THEN, call the number (on the back of your card) and check things out. You know you have the right place as YOU have placed the call. Do NOT just call the # shown on your phone display.
